I just ordered a 2" lift kit from Masterkit1 in Quebec. I am now considering tires and am wondering which ones are the most common? I went to a tire shop and the tire guy recommended Dayton Timberline MT's...any thoughts on these or any other suggestions on an a relatively inexpensive mud tire would be appreciated. I have gotten some great information so far from you guys, so thanks a lot.

If you are on a budget, don't be afraid to hit up the used tire shops or junk yards... I picked up a set of BFG at's for dirt cheap and since this is such a common tire, I can always find used ones for like 20-30 dollars!!!

Hey, you should post up a pic of your rig in readers rides or the gallery!!!

Thanks Jerry. Are you not concerned about having 50% or less tread? Most poeple up here drive their tires until they are bald. Are you concerned about traction in the mud?

I will definitely post a pic as soon as it's done! The lift kit will arrive the first of the week, tires right after rhtat, you should see a pic by Thursday!!! WOOHOO

What is the lift? 2" spring, body, or spacers?

I'm considering retreads from www.treadwright.com Most of the reviews I've seen are pretty good. The prices are definitely good. 30" tires are $55/each and shipping is $20.

Yeah, I would not really consider anything less than half-life...

My lift is a 2" spacer... is there a difference between a spacer and a spring lift? Sorry if that's a dumb question!

Spacer goes on top of the spring, and you can get springs that are taller... That's what I was wondering...
;D

OK...so I have been on their website and I have decided to order my tires from them. Even shipping them to Canada, I am still saving almost $100 per tire. I'm HAPPY!!!!!! Thanks!!!!!!

I ordered 4 235/75/15's today from Treadwright. Total cost including shipping, taxes, and duty..... $366.38 CDN. They come with a 2 year / 24,000 mile warranty as well. A far cry from the $658 (lowest price I have been quoted so far from around here). F%&$&#$ eh !!!!! I recommend anyone looking for tires to call this place.
