Title: transmission help

hey i'v got a 99 vitara 2.0 auto that only shifts out of first at 4k.every other gear is fine also if youcoast orslow roll and dont stop it shifts fine out of first.another problem is when warm it stalls when put in gear.i think i have a vac problem but any input would realy help.

How many miles on it? if it has a modulator valve pull the hose off and see if it is leaking atf. or if the hose is soft.

the truck has 45k unsure of modulator dont know the location of that
