Hi, I just did the widening mod with the calmini 3" kit and want to do the ranger cv's but am having troubles finding the ones that are pictured in your write up. It says 95 and up ranger or explorer but I can't find a listing or part number for anything older than a 98. I ordered a set from a 98 and they don't have the three sided inner like in the pics and are too big to weld on the 3 bolt kick flange.
Any ideas or other possible cv's I could use to make something better than my torn boot, clicking stock cv's?
Thanks

Do a search for Toy shafts. Stan on here makes an adapter kit.

Sorry I dont get on the board much in the summer. Im really sorry but its been quite a few years since Ive used an explorer CV. I just cant remember. The goal of explorer cv artical was just to open the mind. You can use any cv that is the correct length and will have enough travel at the inner joint. We moved onto Toyota CVs about 3 or 4 years ago. 37Kicker makes a kit to bolt toyota cvs right in. He was behind on production but I belive he is back at it again.

Rangers didn't have CV front axles until 98. 97 Rangers still had the common ujoint type axle shafts.
I can't remember when Explorers went to CVs.....could've been in 97, since it seems like they got a "change" a year before the Rangers. But I am sure they were CVs in 98.
