Im more familiar with Dana/Ford axles(ford 8.8/ford 9) whats the equivalent strenght of a Sammie/kick (stock) axle maybe a dana 30 or 35 or 44 or 8.8 surly not a ford 9 ???? any test ever been done?
My resoning for asking this is in my old jeep i broke the dana 35 (and swapped it out with a Ford 8.8) and now having broken an axle Im wondering how hard I can push my stock kick axles with 538s and 33 mt also when I up grade (if I do) I need to know how far to go.

Give us time man, sometimes it takes a few days. :P
One thing to remember is that you are pushing a lot less weight and putting down less power then then equivalent Jeep or Ford. So unless you bind yourself up or get some really bad wheel hop you can get away with a lot more without breaking axles.
Most people run up to 35" tires on the rear without to much problems, it is usually the fronts that end up breaking. The stock strength of the axle is probably a bit below the Dana 30, but you will blow up a birfield before the axle breaks in most conditions.
If your worried about breaking the rear but don't want to put a new axle under it you might look at the Calmini heavy duty axle shafts. Supposedly you can run 36 and 37" tires with them and not break when running the standard 1.6L, but your mileage may vary.
Don't forget, a spool or locker will put more stress on the drivetrain then an ARB left open most of the time.

Not real sure what the equivalant axle would be strength wise. The most popular swap for the suzuki axles seems to be Toyota. I have heard of folks running up to 44 inch tires on these axles without much trouble, but that was with stock or slightly modified engines.

44"s?!? :o Maybe if they are mall crawling, or have terrain like Florida. Otherwise, I've seen Sammy's with 1.3L motors on 35"s bust Toy front axles. Its all in what you do.
