Title: 4dr kick vs 2dr kick coils
Post by: Chief on October 02, 2004, 06:28:20 AM
ok, I got a 2dr, 4wd Tracker w/ RRO 1 1/8 spacers. I was told the 4dr sidekick coils will give me an extra inch of lift. Is this true?  ???

That's what seems to be said about 4 door coils... to be certain we'll have to wait for Cwkick to get back from the scrapyard to confirm this ;)

GV spring are know to give a 4door over an inch of lift.  so it must be more on a 2 door softy.

the 4door sidekick is only 3/8 inch longer. I didn't get much more of a lift because the spring I used was old as well, barely bought me up to stock rideheight

I didn't end up getting the four door coils.
I am going to wait and put the Calmini 2" lift on and see how everything looks.  If I need a little more lift, then I will try the four door coils.

Sorry to anyone waiting for a definitive answer!  :-[

Stock 4 door kick coils are the same height as the 2 doors. Same rate too.

4 door coils are 50 Lb higher rate
2 door are aprox. 500 4 door are
aprox 550 LB rate

I saw these posted someplace,
it was the spec sheet the US requires
to import vehicles to the US

Sp this translates into what?? A waste of my time/money to get the longer coils? I think I'll just get some spacers made instead..... :-X

To get any lift you would need spacers,
I would use 4 door springs for an improved
offroad ride, the wider rims cause some
spring sag, 4 door coils would most likley
fix this slight droop
