Title: Need info. for 1987 Sami

 ok, I am not sure if there is a way to do this. But if there is or if its been done already, this will be the place to find out. I have been given a free 1996 2wd Nissan with the 2.4l engine, you all probably know where this is going already. Can this engine fit into a 1987 Sami.

Bust out the tape measure...
Some people manage to cram V8s into there samis, so im sure it would fit.
Just depends on how much time and money it will take to make it fit.

ive seen 350's in samurais.  most anything can fit if you want it too...  ;)

It's not so much "will it fit" as it is "how do you get the power to the drive shaft?"

Are you going to use the Nissan trans, or try to find or machine an adapter?

Well I was planning on trying to use as much as I could from the nissan drivetrain

You are going to need to fab a shaft to go from the tranmission to t-case.
and engine mounts, tranny mounts I was looking at this for my race rig. but since I don't want to pay for one so haven't done it.
Also have to figure out the wiring.
Post pictures and keep us updated.

Yea I talked to another person today and It sounds like more work than I want to get into
