something i've been looking at -
after i put 2" spacers in the rear, i notice that the drive shaft is pulled out of the gear case about 1/4" or more(i can see shaft past that shield/cover thing).
i understand why this happened, have been using it that way, and am not experiencing any problem yet, but wonder if i should be looking into making a spacer to put in the diff. end to compensate?

Have you tried compressing the suspension fully? II'm pretty sure that the axle will move closer to the tcase as the suspension moves through its arc. You need to have enough space for the prop to slide into the box under compression or you'll trash the tcase.

i have been wondering about this since the lift.
naturally , i didn't notice how it was positioned before i monkeyed with it, and i have flexed the suspension a bunch since then, without ill effect.
it's certainly not hammering into the case, and i haven't lost it(yet), so i'll stop wondering for now.
suzi is a bit of a wonder car.

my assumption would be that proper bumpstops would prevent from pushing into the tcase as the suspension won't come up as hight. another note is that i run about 3inches rear suspension lift and mustang shocks with no driveline spacer, anymore and i'll certainly need one from what i can see.

thanks for the comments, and i still have the stock cushion stops in there.
also the axle doesn't drop far enough for the shaft to actually pop out(when i jack it up), add your experience with a larger lift, and i'm real happy now.
