Title: Weird idle + distributor click

96 tracker with a weird idle plus distributor clicking

seems that the spark is jumping off the main distributor plug

ive changed the center plug but it persists

have you looked at the inside of the cap for tracking?

could be some cracking in the cap that gets carboned up and starts to make a path to other terminals.
spark starts jumping around in there and makes a snapping noise.
also makes engine run like crap.

just a thought.
mabe not the problem.

i was going to but then someone offered me $ for it
