Where is the rev limiter on a 16V (what RPM). I decided to give a couple of low riders a run for their money this weekend and gave the ol-X-90 all she had. Gears 1, 2&3 up to 6500 RPM and never felt a rev limiter kick in :-/ I was wondering what RPM it Kicks in at, because I had the 1.6 realy screaming at 6500.
And YEA, I did out run the low riders ;D. I loved the look on their faces :o. One was a Lowered Neon, no hood, chrome everywhere, hugh exhaust, and sounded impressive at the red light. He was pissed off >:( that the rolerskate on steroids beat him. The other guy was in a Riced out Civic. He came in second about 1.5 car lengths behind the X-90, pulled up beside me and gave me a thumbs up ;) It was fun, I just wanted to see if I could hang with the ricers and ended up beating them.

Ya know, I'm not exactly certain. I know that I have had mine kick in though. Sometimes at 5500, sometimes higher. I think it depends on what gear you are in and how hard you're pushing it. ???
I know it's there though.

Val has a 1.6 in his sami and it doesnt have a limiter built in. he has one on his msd.

My auto kicks in at 6500 regardless of the gear its in.

I've never hit mine, but I've never
been too game to take it over 6000
until I installed the Turbo.
It never had enough poop to need
to rev it that high, all it used to do
was make noise, not power at 5K +

On '95 the fuel injection kicks off at 6800 RPM and will kick back on when it drops back down to 6500 RPM.

don't think i have ever hit mine, been up to about 6500.

i have found the rev limiter on my 91 8v to be a very soft rev limiter..its not a hard shut down like most engines so u hardly ever notice..unless u are doing a burn out and ridding the limiter ::) not that i have ever done that lol
when u hit the limiter on a cobra itl keep bouncing back and fourth..but when u hit it in the hooptie it just pegs lol its about 6800rpm

I normally run it up to around 5200 in most situations, but in first and second it pegs 6500 real quick with the small tires, then in third I ran it up to see if it was around 6500 because I was ahead of the pack ;) It even caught a second :o.

Yea right, a Kick couldn't do a burn out ;D It's a Suzuki, it would spontainously flip over on it's side first :P

u know i noticed that..one time i slammed the door and my kick just feel over..them darn pos cars  :o
