I think 6 was mistaken for a 9.

1.6 is more like it.

Or maybe it was a mistake and it's a 1.8L(didn't the sport model have that?)

Oh yeah it did...I would like to have one of those...wouldn't it be easier putting a 1.8 then the newer 2.0 in a Sidekick like mine?

I think that the 1.8 and 2.0 are the same motor. Just the 2.0 is bored or stroked.

Well, here was the ad I responded to:

1991 Suzuki Sidekick, 1.9L 4 cyl, 5 speed, 4x4, 4dr, hard top with air, 150, 000 kms, $2,950.

I thought it was a mistake as well, 1.6 to be corrected, but I called up the lot and they said it was a 1.9. I asked what engine was in, if it was disel and a few other details, but all I got were, sorry I don't remember answers. They sold it, thats all that they could tell me. I really was interested to know what was under the hood, if it was a clean engine swap, the 2, 950 would have been well spent. I noticed in the area a few trackers for sale as well, so I think one of those guys beat me to it.. ah well.

It's too bad 'cause it was in great shape, no rust, no dents, new tires, nice rims, and of course it was exactly the rig I was looking for under 3000. POO!

I found a nice Sammi for sale, what is a good offer for a 93-95 with a little rust. Manual trans, custom front and rear bumper.

I bet it wasn't a 1.9.... I haven't heard of too many 1.9 engines out there anyhow.

Yeah, I have a feeling it wasn't either. Fun to think that it could have been though!
