Hey guys here is the cross members ive made for a few guys. Its made of 1/8" Steel tubing and fully tig welded.
Allows you to drop rear trans mount down 3/8" to correct some driveline angles after lifts.
Allows more clearence for long tube headers.
I can weld tabs on front or back to allow mounting of a skit plate if wanted.
If people are interested ill make another batch.
Im looking at $200cdn each. As i weld them everywere so they are sturdy.
The OE one is made of 16gu stamped steel and you can bend it with a sledge.
If i get a few guys i can drop the price alot more.
Ok guys i got a few emails. If i can get at least 4 sold i can do them at this price.
$180 with the following
1-Crossmember painted Black
10-Bolts to bold to truck frame and trans
The rear skid plates will be made in the next few weeks. If you are interested Ill start making the skid plate for the transfer case.

I may be interested, how much? I don't have a lift yet, but the key there is yet! I made my mind up to wait for Zukination's lift.
-
so ur never gonna lift your rig then..... sorry, had to, companies talk about new shiat all the time but i never see shiat come out.
-
Well, I'll wait til Christmas to see if they get the kit out. If not, then I'll have to decide on what kit, OME or Calmini.
-
it would be nice if that fat bastard santa would just drop us off some kits....!
-
I brought that up to the wife last year, she got pissed that I called her fat!
-
Just for peoples information.

-
This looks good. Especially w/ a skid. Are these coming w/ spray paint or in the white?

Hey guys posted up some more info i can do them at $180 a piece for 4 with mounting bolts
-
Hey Josh I'd like one of those crossmembers, and I'd like to know more about the belly skid as well, what would it look like? Would it just protect the bottom of the transfer case or would it be bigger?
-
BUMP!
Anyone else want one I really would like to get one to replace the stock one that got all bent up on that "stock friendly" off-road trail I went on this past spring...

Interested. I run an auto. Not sure if that would mess up the mounting. Just had some 4.24:1 gears installed and would like to protect my investment w/ a heavy mount and skid.
-
Hey guys if i can get a order of 3 ill start making them. I just got my new band saw in so.
Auto let me go over to suzuki and see if the OEM one is the same as the manual if its different. Ill go look at my friends auto this week.
-
BTW i changed the design a bit. the bolts have plates beside them so if you hit some rocks it will slide over them and not tear the heads off.
-
Good catch on the heads of the bolts protruding out too far, JDMCRX. I was wondering if you would end up either reinforcing the shoulder area around the bolts or countersinking the bolt heads (by tapping a shoulder hole) through the lower side (exposed) so they set on/locked onto the inside surface of the tubing against the frame. Nice job ont hem. Very slick looking crossmembers.
I don't know of anyone else currently making (or considering making) any armor for this area on these trucks. The ZR2s do come with OEM "armor" on this area, but from the looks of them (on my inlaws ZR2) it appears to me to be made of the same guage metal that comes standard on all the factory fuel tank "skids"... which is heavy enough protection from flying rocks from the tires, and ARE better than nothing but... not heavy enough guage to provide protection to the T-case against a serious meeting engagement with a very determined rock.
-
I was going to make the cross member of different tubing to bring the bolts up but price would go up. To counter sink the bolts i would have to be alot more work. If i get a few guys to order them i will counter sink them in and there will be mounting tabs front and rear of the cross memeber for my future skid plates.
-
Well I have a pile of money saved up but still nothing to spend it on*. I really don't care either way about countersunk bolt heads, it's still better than stock, I just want one already; with a skid or at least provisions for a skid. Once I get this and Rockrails I'll finally be DONE in the underbody protection department.
How many orders you have so far? How many more would you need to make them better? How long would it take for more orders to come in? :P
I mean really: If you need more orders to make them better then it might not be worth it to you if it makes it harder to sell them, because now it's gonna be even MORE time waiting for MORE people to decide if they want them or not. ::)
James (honestly not really in a hurry, yet still somehow getting impatient... ??? gotta weigh the pros/cons...)
*Waiting for the CAD$ to come back UP in value again before spending a pile on stuff I need from the US. Honestly, why is the Canadian Dollar dropping in value when it's the American economy that's tanking??

...but is anyone ever REALLY done...

 OMG its that horrible vicious cycle of constant upgrades. I've sworn a promise to myself that I won't get bigger tires and a lift because I know that if I do, it's alllll over. :police:

Using crystal meth, cocaine, marijuanna, smack, or OWNING a suzuki or tracker... it's all the same damned thing IMHO. You live your life in constant denial... "I can "quit" whenever I want to.... " "I'm finished with the upgrades on my truck...." "No, I don't want 31s...." "Body lifts are for sissies... " "I think I can fit 34's under it..."
The sad thing is there's no rehab for suzuki or tracker owners. We just keep on adding to them until the springs buckle or the frames collapse or they can no longer move with the extra ton of metal we've added to them. But what the hell! It sure beats getting caught riding mopeds!
