Title: dual t case and speedo question
Post by: sir lance on June 14, 2008, 02:43:24 AM
i have installed a dual t case set up on my 99 gv engine with an automatic, my question is, will my tranny shift without the speedo sensor hooked up?

the reason being is that its a ott kicker 2 (modified sidekick t-case with a toyota case bolted to it) bolted to my auto tranny.

of course the toyota case uses a cable speedo, not an electric, so i have no way of hooking it up, now im worried that the computer needs this to shift the trans.

any info would be great, thanks

this might workhttp://www.marlincrawler.com/htm/transfercase/tcase_ac.htm (http://www.marlincrawler.com/htm/transfercase/tcase_ac.htm) i don't know if the v6 uses a 4 pulse vss or not but from what I've read herehttp://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showpost.php?p=5238624&postcount=33 (http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showpost.php?p=5238624&postcount=33) the vitara 2.0l does so I'm guessing the v6 is the same sensor
