thinking of getting a new engine what should I do. I have 4:16 low transfer case and 5:38 diff. running 32 bfg. right now my engine is struggling with over 140,000 miles. With all the conversion kits and stuff not sure what would be best in my zuki. turbo diesel, 1.6, vortex? I am not an expert and a newbie just looking for good advice. thanks

The real nice thing about Sammies is their farly even weight distribution front and rear. It's part of what makes them work so well. For that reason I like to stick with Suzuki engines. (all aluminum) My choice would be a Track/Kick 1.6 8 valve or 16 valve. They are simple swaps that have been tested over and over and really bump up the power to wieght ratio!
Good luck!

If it was in my budget I would go VW diesel in a heartbeat. I have a 1.6 right now and as far as they go it is strong running but diesel is hard to beat. Especially when you add MPG to the the picture.
