how do you disassemble or can you want to disassemble to clean and inspect

i see spline going into the back of joint is there a clip or something?

You can, but I don't recommend it.  Unless something is broken I would just leave it all in place.  Usually I just shove some grease in there just like you would while packing a bearing.
