Title: Identifing a Sami flywheel
Post by: locost7018 on June 26, 2008, 09:00:54 AM
I have a GTi 1300cc motor and sami trans that I bought as a package and I am trying to tell if the flywheel is a GTi or Sami one. Are there any identifing marks or numbers on the flywheel that will tell you? My flywheel measures .84" thick on the outside edge if that helps. I have been told that I must use a Sami flywheel and clutch with this combination. Tks Russ

Samurai flywheels are recessed.  I don't know if the other 1.3 ones are or not.
No identifying marks or numbers that I know of.....but I haven't really paid much attention to them.
