Title: 16valve no start

Got a friend with a 95 16v tracker that starts intermittent. When it won't satrt it has no spark. Any ideas?

ECM, coil, ignitor, distributor all come to mind.  You know it has to be something spark related....since it doesn't have a spark when it won't start.  I would rule out the plugs and wires......assuming it loses all spark and just not on some wires/plugs.

Is this a engine swap scenerio? Or, is the engine it's native home?
