ok so here is what I got, I got a towbar for a Samurai/Tracker/Sidekick.
here is what it is

Here is the bracket that attaches to the tracker

Now its supposed to attach to the stock metal bumper, or frame. But since I dont have a stock front bumper, couldnt I attached it by drilling some holes through the frame mount that the stock bumper attaches it to, then after the bolts are tight, weld the bracket for extra strength? so here is where it would go

Ideas, thoughts, links to towbar mounting threads?

You need to look at the entire set-up when hooked to the tow vehicle.
Towbars should be level if at all possible.
In a panic stop you do not want the toad to push the rear of the tow up or the toad to pole vault over the tow. Although it is better to have the tow higher than the toad.
You can usually get the bar level with the right drawbar in your receiver hitch. But if the difference is too severe then you need to look at where the brackets are going to go on the toad.
