is there a way to disable the tcc lock up circuit, where the trans will operate as a regular 3 spd. auto w/o the lock up feature? ???
-
For what purpose??? It's only supposed to work in 3rd to
increase MPGs. Are you having early lockup issues? like in
1st or 2nd gear? and in answer, yes a switch in the right circuit
would work to control lock up.

its just a feature i don't care for and would like to disable it. :D

If you want to just disable it you could drop the trans pan and just disconnect the lead to it. I went the other way , and bought the parts to fix it! It does help with gas mileage.
-
You could just unplug the lock up relay.

thats what i'm looking for but i don't know which relay controls it.

Aww hell pull em all, ur bound to find it then replace the ones that make the trucklet run
>:D

Why?

I am getting the TCC lockup code and don't know when I can change the TCC solenoid. Can you run it without it working or will it screw up the tranny and/or leave me stranded?
-
No, it just won't lock up the TC, I think mine quit working a long time ago

OK, thanks for the answer. I will probably still try to fix it, but now I can wait until the funds are a little better.
