^good idea, also the scrap metal value of cat converters in my country is substantial, definitely worth swapping for a straight pipe

Just a quick reminder. A straight pipe is only legal for an off road only vehicle. You can however pick up generic high flow 2" cats off of ebay for pretty cheap.

...depending on your state or province...

in the county i live in in texas we dont even have to pass emissions. theres people running around with straight pipes all the time

I was thinking of cutting it out we dont have to pass emissions here and if the year of to vehicle is so old you can any way i didnt it on my last truck i think thats what i'm goin to do i putting a new exhaust on my wifes truck and i'll have alot of left over pipe anyway.

I thought having one was required on a federal level. If theychecked for it was on a state/province. :D If not, my bad. I know Federal parks in the US require a spark arrestor of some sort, which means either a catalytic converter or a non-straight pipe style muffler (aka Cherry Bomb).
That being said, my SJ-410 doesn't run a cat. We didn't put one one when we put a new exhaust in place. But it's a trailer queen.
