Testing "hopefully" will be done in December and is all is well on the market in early 2005.........................

What joints are you using for these axles? Are they going to have a higher range of operating angle than stockers, or are they just going to be beefier? Also, will you sell the joints seperately, without the shaft?
-
I think these are replacement
shafts with the Cvs on them, and
the parts are not available as they
don't interchange with Track/Kick
Shafts

I know they're replacement shafts, but I just wanted to know if he could sell the CV's seperately, and then make my own shaft *cough*slipshaft*cough* ;D

I dunno, you would have to ask Kerry

Seems kinda odd that he'd be wary of giving you an anvil, considering it is logical that your product and the anvil compliment eachother...
Anywho... are they still gonna be in the $100-150/axle range?

I have yet to have any breakage wheelin, I guess my time will come. And i'm pretty weary of the front end cause all I hear is horror stories.
-
If you're running 33's, I'm willing to bet you'll break a diff housing before you break CV's...
-
Running my 32's, I haven't broken a housing yet. Gone through many CV's though.
I also run a 4.24:1 crawler gear though. That would realy help brake those CV's. :P

You also have 5.83's, I bet.

Well of course! ;D
I don't think I've broken one going nice and slow (rocks)
It's always been heavy on the peadle and mud.

wtf... there's rocks in Michigan? ??? ;D
Yeah, going slow is not something I like to do too much. :)
-
Not many but I've found one or two...
Most rock crawling I've done has been down at the Badlands.
-
badlands? ???
And yeah, back up north it's all swampy marshy shit.

i don't know how you people have problems with CV's. i'm running larger tires with a higher wheel speed and i'm only breaking front ends. and i have wheeled with a riped CV boot on the drivers side! one place i couldn't get over a bank and had to give it to her, had the front end jumpin and never broke a thing, i have no clue what i'm goin right???

Get a Calmini 3" lift, and then run it with heavy 33's without the recommended weight on the front bumper. ;)
Over extended shafts make the inner pop apart and fuck up the cup.

Its cause your open in the front. Put a locker in there and add a 4 to 1 Then rod the piss out of it! ;D
Locker + 4to1 = :'( ( if you have stock shafts...and like to rod on it)

Hmmm Auto, 34's, open, light foot, Maybe I can wheel all weekned on the same set of shafts. I'll be holding my breath. Not much angle on my CV's but I finished getting the 4.25:1 gears in the case last night so at least I'll have the torque to break them if I need it.
-
The only gripe I have about my kick is there is no droop in the front end at all. Maybe a half inch. Its pretty retarded.

Welcome to my world ;D
The only additional weight I have up front is a 40lb tube bumper... the lift was designed for calmini's 90lb bumper and a winch... that's why mine rides high and has no droop from normal ride height.
Hopefully Hagen's widening mod/cutting the spring will help out some. :-/
-
I have nothing on the front end...... ::) not even the stock cover....oopsies
-
Strap a cinderblock or two to your bumper ;D

Still think I've got you beat, No stock bumper & No grill.
But mine seems to ride and flex well so far.  I even have some useable drop.  I'll know for sure how well it works in 4.5 days.
Hmmm, May add a grill for the extra weight, ;D just kidding!

I should just weld 100 lbs of quarter inch plate steel to the front hehehe.
