Hi Team,
I was wondering if any vendors have made a solution to gearing down the manual V6's - double transfer boxes or drop in gearing options. I know this has been asked before but it has been a while since I last looked and there may have been a solution provided now.
Thanks ;)

when you find the solution I will buy one too! >:D

What gearing has the V6 got? If its the 4:88s then you can fit the 5:12s from the 1.6
-
What's the output on the t-case? Do you have a 26 spline slip-yoke? If so, Rock Rat can probably whip you up a Kicker 3.
-
Hi Rhino - yeah 4.88's - but it is the T case I am looking to gear down.
Rock Rat? Any info on this?

If you are stick, you should have 4.30s, not 4.88s. This gives you R&P options. Unfortunately, there are no t-case gears for you, as the input from the tranny is different than the autos and earlier kicks.

Can it be cut to the spline count needed to accept the kicker III?

DOnt you mean the outputs differnt.. Course spline? the earlier 95 and older were 26 and the new is course 16 or something.. We have been just changing the ouput shafts to make the cases work in our kick boxs on the 95 and up.

Ohhhhh....
That's why I thought you needed my Kicker T-case before. The one I was originally going to send you was off my '96. Since I got the '94 on toya axles, that's the priority to get geared down now. Would be interesting to see if the doubler will work on older zooks as well...

Dude Your are confusing me with your statements.. My Kicker setup uses the 89-95 Finespline output box.. IF you send me a 95 and newer Course spline rear output case We need to change the output shaft. Just for me to get that shaft it cost as much as buying another Correct year box. That is why when people call and Ask I tell them Fine spline cases, or there spending more then they may have to.

Oops - yeah sorry about that. Stock is 4.3 ratio, have upgraded to 4.88's
Q: How about this then. Can you bolt a 1600 Kick transfer box straight up to a '99 Manual V6 GV ??

The issue is the INPUT from the tranny to the t-case. On GV manuals, the shaft is longer than the autos. That is why t-case gears can't be used on them. Only choice is to swap out trannys to get a t-case that gears will fit in.
