Well I'll get right to it. I have an 86 Sammi and it reacantly had the "SENSOR" light, just right of the seatbelt light come on. I have a repair manual but it does not tell me what this light indicates. If anyone has an owners manual they could look in and let me know what this light is for I would really apriciate it. I would even be interested in purchasing one for this model. The car runs fine but I would like to know for sure what it is.
Thanks in advance

If it is running good just reset the sensor. Under the dash on the right side of the steering column there is a swith

I will check my manual when i get home and let you know what it says about the sensor

This idea is fine if you do not need to pass smog, if you do then it's right out. Look at your mileage, the light usually kicks on for mileage maintance like 100,000. You will need to reset it rather then turn it off it thats the cause.

Read this and download the service manual.http://www.zukiworld.com/forum/index.php?topic=22419.0 (http://www.zukiworld.com/forum/index.php?topic=22419.0)
Then download the service manual here in 3 parts and save it.

Also, just about every vacuum advance I have seen on a 80's 1.3 Sammy has had a leaking diaphragm on the distributors vacuum advance. That takes away a bunch of vacuum trying to open the EGR while the dist vacuum advance it leaking. So be sure to test your dist vacuum advance for a leak, chances are 90% its bad!!!!!! The whole system will not work right with a leak!!!!!
To test it the best way is with a small hand operated vacuum pump you can get at Harbor Freight or any auto parts. Its a tool that will be used a "BUNCH" of times if you own a Samurai!!!!!
Heres a link to show ya what you need. Several auto parts and tool stores have them. Good way to check EGR, Dist advance, EGR modulator, secondary throttle diaphragms, etc.....
