What is the maximum tire size that can be put on a 1.6 sidekick before the axles give way.I currently have lockright lockers front and rear, and the front housing has been upgraded to steel housing .
-
It's not the tire size, it's
the use of the skinny pedal

Too many variables here. My coisin runs 35 MTRs with no breakage. Hes a crawler. I like to hammer... ::) 31s is as far as I could take stock axles. I know several guys running 32s without problems.

I run the Alu kick front diffs on both ends of my Sammy on 38's but I don't beat on them too hard.

You also have a welded diff, goofy ;D
I've had tons of breakage up front... out back, nuffin'

I try to be as gentle as possible and crap out rear end parts on every other run. But it can't be the tires, because my 35" boggers don't get as much grip as.... oh let's say MTRs, right Eric?

32x11.5 MTR's and no problem with the rear.
Has anyone tried the Calimini's new rear axils?
