Dear Friends,
Got a LockRight locker install done on the rear diff of my Gypsy (Samurai). While it may be very common for folks in US and other parts of the world to get lockers installed, this is the FIRST install of a locker in India on a Gypsy. (to the bnest of my knowledge).
The traction is just amazing and am very happy that I got the locker install done.
Here is the link to the install process.

Also, wanted to share with you all the kind of off-roading we do in India through pictures.

That looks like a lot of fun, I would love to give wheeling in areas like that a try. :)
I looks like there is one Gypsy and a LWB Gypsy in that set of pictures. Are any of those yours?
-
Thanks for liking the terrain and off-road. You are welcome to join us for an OTR while you are in India some time.
No, My Gypsy wasn't there.
In India, we have the LWB Gypsy. The SWB wasn't made available.
Cheers,

It's a deal. The same if you ever make it to the NW corner of the US. :)
I didn't know that the SWB wasn't an option. Did Suzuki bring any over or are all the SJ-413 style vehicles LWB?
-
Thanks mate. Will for sure join you if I am in the NW of the USA.
Suzuki brought ONLY the LWB of the 410/413 to India. These days the 1.3 L MPFI 413W is available only against firm orders.
It is available for approx USD 14,000/- new. Used ones (in good condition) are VERY hard to find in India.
Now my next modification in the Gypsy will be the 4.16 ultra low gearset/rock crawlers.
Cheers,

That is a really great thread Khan, with great pictures. If you took the time to post those in our "Do It Yourself" section of this site I am sure that would become one of those often referenced threads. Thank you for sharing that. Clean looking truck to by the way.
