Title: Pro Comp Lift info / pictures needed
Post by: whitfield on August 18, 2008, 04:13:51 AM
Can anyone find any information on the old Pro Comp Sidekick lift.

I bought one of these USED about 4 years ago and set it aside under the work bench at my super secret storage facility for safe keeping.

I kind of forgot what all it included.

So last night I opend the box for the very first time

:o :o :o

This lift actually has the Chevy IFS style 2 - 2.5" crossmember drop brackets for the a-arms with slotted holes and ecentrics for alignment.
4- coil springs, Front limit straps, Belly skid plate, strut drop brackets, and provisions for a Strut tower brace (although on mine the actual brace is missing).

Even looks like a bracket set up to run Pro COmp front shocks along with the front struts.

I believe this is a 2.5" lift but I'm not sure, And I have no way to verify 2-dr or 4-dr.

They are 2.5" lift kits and that sounds complete minus the strut tower brace. I cant think of a 2 dr-4dr difference unless it would be spring rate :-\ I had one on my kick for a couple of weeks. There is a difference in a Canada built and Japan built Kick. One of the front cross members id a box channel instead of a C channel. This will make the install of the control arm drops possible but will not fot properly (you will no when you try to install it if you have the style for the kit) There should be a supplemental note to the kits instructions to show you the difference.
