Post by: SiKiD_01 on September 27, 2004, 04:04:57 AM
has anyone done this? seeing as the hummer has Independant sus all round, couldn't someone use those portals?

forgive me, but i don't know of/cant find any info on this.

this way, you could keep the IFS set up.

if there are links, please let me know, or if anyone has any pics.

thanks.

ps, its not like i have enough money for any of that kinda stuff, but dreaming is good for your health.

Portal axles require the axles to
be rotating in the opposite dirction,
so unless you can reverse the rotation
of the front DS you have two axles going
opposite directions in 4WD

This is an easy one to solve. flip the portals left to right!

Or you can spin your diff upside down.

There are about nine trucks in Kelowna BC that run four wheel independent suspension, some use Gama Goat and some use Hummer.
These guys all run 44's and have very deep pockets.

My choice is mog axle for strength , fixed diff clearance, selectable lockers, and above all PRICE!!

I built my zuk for under $9,000 Can.
