What are the biggiest tires you would reccomend with a stock drivetrain I plan to add 4-5 inches of lift.thanks in advance.

Sidekick or Samurai? 5 speed or automatic?
On my Sidekick with a 5 speed, I'm running 31's and it holds its own capably off road. I wouldn't mind running 33's for some more clearance, but I'm only running 3.5" of total lift so I could probably just lift it a little more. Most people stick to 31 or 32" tires because any bigger than that and you start breaking stuff. The other part of the problem is the gearing gets thrown WAY off when you go up in tire size. A 31 is already 5" bigger than stock and you definitely notice the power loss driving anywhere. Anything resembling a hill will require a downshift to 4th or 3rd gear, and that's with an exhaust helping things out a little.
Rock crawling ability really sucks big time with anything bigger than 29 so you will want the 4.24:1 t-case gears. If you want to run 33's either go with an automatic because they run 4.62 diff gears, but 5-speed diff gears (5.13:1) bolt right in so you get some gear reduction back for on-road driving. You'll probably still want the lower transfer case gears for 4wheeling though.

Thanks I was origonally thinking 31x11.50 but I don't want to loose to much power being stock so now I am thinking 30x9.5 it only has 34k on it so I dont want to do anything to crazy but I do want to go 4 wheeling.any thoughts ???

BRD HNTR Is running 30" tires with a little bit of lift and a locker in the rear. He has to use 4th gear a little bit more then before, but it runs around off road pretty well. I would get some sort of rocker protection though, either by cutting out your rockers and putting in some steel or buying an after market setup.

I have never understood the lack of info here. The guy asked a Zuki question, sure he didn't let any one know what style of Zuki he had. But he did ask a Zuki question. His problem with his question is he did not state what type of Zuki he was talking about. He would get a better response if he had mentioned if he had a Sami, a track/kick/ or a newer model.
Is this place trying to be pirate jr?

Assuming Samurai:
29/30" tires need 1.5-2" if lift. 31's need about 3" of lift. If you want to drive it fast on the Interstate, a lot of lift is not necessarily a good thing. Think tipover. IMHO, there's not a lot of point in more lift than is needed to clear the tires.
The 4.16:1 T-case has a additional 12% high-range reduction which nicely compensates for tires up to about 31". A rear locker can be nice to have (I do), but adds considerably to axle stress. Breaking parts on a daily-driver is inconvenient.
BTW, 215/75x15 are the largest tires that fit an unmodified suspension without interference. My BFG AT/KO's were a good choice for 90% road/10% dirt.
