Title: toyota running gear
Post by: da_mtg_man on September 05, 2008, 04:00:30 AM
I found a toyota P/U that a guy is dropping a 350 into so he is parting out some original stuff.
Will this stuff fit under the Sami?

rear end (8" with 4.10 gears), front end with matching gears, cv axles,

The front end is going to be the problem.  You will need an axle from a pre-86 Toy as it sounds like your buddy has an IFS front end.  I would pick up the hardware then hold onto it until  you can find a front axle to put your gears into.  There are a couple of companies that make Toyota axle conversion kits, with either stock or YJ springs.  You can't go wrong with any of them.

Defiantly a step in a different direction.

Try and find a 79-85 front end (84-85 are the ones to try and get, but others will work.)
