Title: Proportioning Valve
Post by: Amilla on September 05, 2008, 01:02:39 PM
Hey all, i am dealing with the rear breaks on my samurai.
I have toy axles and was wondering if anyone knows of a decent inexpensive proportioning valves to use.
I want to get rid of the duel break lines that the samurai came with and go with a 2 line in 1 line out.
Not really wanting to spend 130 bucks for a new one from lowrange or 80 for one that might leak.

Thanks

Amilla

It would be kind of a pain to bleed but you could just cheat and run a Y in reverse.  Have your two lines going in and a single line going out.  :)

this about the cheepest (least expensive iv seen)

It's 1/8 npt so what I did on a Datsun 510 is make my own lines metric on one side us on the other
you can rent or buy a double flare kit from a lot of parts stores

Some thing to think about, the stock pro. valve near the rear is adjustable. I heard this from a good source, just can't remember his name for some reason.
