Title: 2 inch spring spacer.  how?

I could barely compress the front springs to get them out and put the 4door springs back in, how do you put the 2 inch spacers in?  remove the A-arms?  this seems humanly impossible

Try using a spring compressor tool?

the spring compressor tool didn't fit.  I compressed it and tied it with rope several dozen times to hold it compressed

No, don't use a spring compressor,
it is a PITA but it is easy once you
learn the secrets  ;)

lift the trucklet with a floor jack, now
support the frame with a jack stand,
(both sides)
and it needs to be fairly high so you
have room to work. Lift the A-arm with
the floor jack, remove the sway bar nut,
remove the 3 lower balljoint bolts
remove both lower strut bolts and wire
the strut up and out of the way, also wire
up the knuckle with the brake assembly
attached so you don't stress the brake line.

Now carefully lower the A-arm to release the
tension, after the tension is off, you can remove
the jack, you will probably need to push the A-arm
down with your foot to get the spring out, you
could also loosen the 2 big A-arm swing point
bolts, it makes moving the A-arm easier.

Put the spacer on top, and slip it over the bump
stop, put the bottom end of the spring into the
recess spot that keeps the spring from turning,
start lifting with the floor jack, go slow and be carefull.

The spring will collaps and start lifting the trucklet
off the jack stand, at this point stop while you are
about 1/2" over the stand, if it slips it won't fall far.

Now re-attach the lower balljoint and bolts,
lower the strut and slip the 2 big bolts thru the
knuckle, this will hold it all together and you can
lower the jack.

Repeat on the other side

This does not work without an upper strut spacer, lift without travel is worse than
stock [/u]

I did everything except remove the lower ball joint.  I was able to swing it our of the way enough to work.
