Title: Pontiac Sunrunner Question
Post by: sunrunner891 on September 07, 2008, 05:29:42 PM
Hello fellow enthusiasts, longtime lurker posting for the first time. I have a 1994 Pontiac Sunrunner 2 door soft top 4x4 5 speed (Canada here). This Pontiac thing is a Pia because it doesn't show up in any of the catalogs. I'm pretty sure its same as Tracker, says Tracker on steering wheel and looks identical. My question is alot of these mod kits don't work on the sport model .
How do I tell if I have a sport model?

Considering the Rock Steady 4.5 " kit anyways as it is supposed to work for both but I would still like to know.
Lots of Calmini customers here,  but attracted to the suposed better ride of OME parts.

Thanks in Advance,  Great site with a wealth of info!

I don't think the 94 had a sport model.  But yea, it's the same as a Geo/GMC/Chevy Tracker and a Suzuki Sidekick.

Is there like a specific feature or dimension that sets the sport model apart from the regular trackicks ?

I think I heard somewhere that the sports have a 4 inch wider track.  Not to mention the cool fender flares,  and a 1.8 dohc.
