Title: Vacuum Choke problem

I'm not sure where on this site this post should go...but I'm having a mechanical problem.  The Vacuum choke arm keeps falling off the choke itself.  Pretty much every time i have to drive it i have to pop the hood, remove the air cleaner and put that little arm back in its stop.  It use to snap back in place but it appears that the bushing is worn out.

My real question is, what can I do to fix this?  I have looked on the internet for replacements with no luck.  Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know where to get a new one?

I believe both Hawk Strictly Suzuki and Petroworks have parts for stock carbs. I know Petroworks selll rebuild carbs too...

Is there enough room to drill and put a pin behind the arm once it snaps on?  If it's broken already it might be worth trying...

yea i was thinking about taking it apart and putting a small washer behind the circlip that holds the plastic bushing on.  I will look into buying a new one, but if i dont have to i like that idea too.

I was looking at my old SJ-410 carb.  It actually uses a tiny clip.  :)

I think you might have the same problem I did I took a paper clip and bent it around it to hold it in place. So far it has worked untill I figure out on doing a weber or zor my-fi
