Title: ShrockWorks Hurricane Update

ShrockWorks Hurricane Update

We are still alive and kicking. We don't have full power at the shop yet and 1/2 the city is still w/o power, so things are still chaotic and we are running with a partial crew, but no major damage or injuries! I'm hopeful we will be back at full speed next week some time.

I have relatives 6 miles west of you that still have no power.  Glad you faired well.  Their pool was almost empty before the storm, and almost full afterward.

Yeah it's a mess.  Look at this....even a week and a half after the storm:

CenterPoint Energy
767,000 customers without power
2.258 million total customers
34 percent out

Good luck with the wait. A group of my friends left Galveston Island the day before landfall heading to Terri's parents house 45 mile north of Houston and they are in the same boat with every one else.. no power, no sewer, no water and barely enough gas to run the generator at nigh when needed. As of last week they still had not been allowed back to Jamaica Beach (their home) and no time frame had been set of when they may be able to go home.

All of you'll hang in there, it will get better soon.
