Title: Pro's and Con's
Post by: phloop on October 03, 2008, 08:21:05 PM
Whats the thought on the RPM range of a cam? My junk has 4.16's, 5.12's, and soon to be 33" TSL's. Putting in a 1.6 8V with a MS2/44mm. Don't do a lot of crawling, more trails and mud.

The question is, go with the low range cam where the cam is used up early or go with a cam that comes on later?

PS, I can't spell worth a danged.

If you are running in mud and such I would go with a higher RPM cam. More rpm means more wheel speed which is better for mud.

What RPM do you find yourself using the most?

The 1.6's seem to like the high revs, i would probably go with the 2200 to 5500 cam.
