I have a 1995 Tracker with OME shocks and springs with 1" coil spacers and flipped strut plate.I have no body lift. What size tires will fit it.I wanted to get 29x10.50-15 but the saleman at the tire store said that they would be too big and that the front tires would rub on the lower part of the front fenders. Is he right? Thanks
-
yup, i think they would rub. If you added a 2" body lift, you might have a shot. As it is now I would stick to about a 225 series.
-
I had worn 30's on mine with just a 1" spacer lift on it. Rubbed the frame.
-
Right now,I'm using 235/75-15.There is no problem with this size.I just want to go to a bigger size then I have.
-
Without a body lift 235s are the best size,
but you could always trim your fenders
Besides, if we listened to a Tire salesman
we would all be wearing 235 tires ;)

and what is wrong with 235"S ???
-
235's just suck on the freeway with 5.83 gears ;)
I thought 235's fit very well, and I went everywhere
on them, but they just don't compair to 33" swampers
-
all right then !
I like my 235's and I will admit I would like a rig w/ 33's
but too much other work for me and my once and a while off roading
-
I think the next size up is either a 29 or 30 inch
tire, I was thinking of going to a larger one of these
sizes, but I was afraid I would rub too much.
Then I jumped from no body lift and 3" suspension lift
running 235's to a 4" body lift, still on 235's, I thought it
looked OK, but a friend of mine said "Dude, your truck is
cool and all, but you need some bigger tires"
So I started to think about 31's and even got a set of
Goodyears (see the tire on the back in the pic) for testing,
they were used, but I only paid $50 mounted for them,
so I was going to get a set of 31 MT's from Pep Boys, which were like $400 out the door, and I saw the swampers for only $25 each more, 31 MT's or 33 Swampers, it was a no brainer for me, I thought I'd
never be able to affort Swampers, right, after all they
are like $200 each.
So I have 33's and love them, the jeeps hate me tho,
one guy said "all you do is put tires on those things
and they go everywhere" ;D
I'd have to agree, I did so even on 235's, 33's make
it even more so.
Enjoy your 235's, I don't think you will ever have
any problems with axle breakages and you will still
get to wheel with the best of them, but get a locker,
it's like a 200% increase in traction offroad, absolutly
amazing

You can just trim your fender back some. It's not really that hard and it still looks clean.9the way I do it ;))
