Title: hard brakes in the morning?
Post by: mike5721947 on October 11, 2008, 05:08:12 PM
ok... been having this problem for a while, only happens when its cold. brakes are manual for a couple minutes in the morning or if its cold out then i get the power back. its getting colder out now and its doing it more and more, so its going to have to get fixed soon...

1990 suzuki sidekick, 2dr, 1.6 8V stock brakes. been thinking maybe its a bit of water in the brake fluid and its freezing in the line?

I've had the same problem with both of the trackers I've had.. I'm thinking it's a condensation issue, but I may be wrong....

Ant experience I have had with condensation is the brakes grabbing the first couple time you apply them!

Hey just passing this on.... I have a 90 1.6 8v. It had hard brakes in morning. I recently adjusted the valve lash and the hard brake issue is gone. who knows...give it a try.

When you say cold do you mean freezing? If so you could have ice forming in your brake booster. Have seen it a few times on cars up here(north).

might be classified as freezing... 5* and down usually triggers it.
