Looking at one of these as my Tracker sits in the elements all night and then is a nice, snowy, frosty cube in the morning. Plug that thing in at about 6:20am and the windshield would be clear, the cab would be warm(ish), and the engine might even be a bit warm when we leave at 7:10am.
Also what's up with the lower radiator hose? I think it's 1" but it looks like all of the ones out there commercially are cut to fit. No one makes a correct size hose?

I shot around the idea myself, my kick is like a ice box in the morning and takes a good 7 miles to get comfortable(inside heat). IF anyone uses one I liked to know how good they work.

just get a block-heater that replaces one of the freeze plugs

or a oil pan heater might help.
or tough it out like me i have no heat except my gloves and beanie. im buying a elec heater from roadless gear heard it works great and its instant heat

The oil pan heater would be easiest, as it is magnetic (if I remember correctly). The Volvo I now drive is nice in the winter with its heated seats ;D. Too bad it has no ground clearance and isnt 4wd. Even though its front wheel drive, it still sucks in the snow, more so than the Nissan Sentra or other econo box cars.

just to joke around i really wouldn't do it but to warm up our dragsters we rev the shit out of them lol
oh also when i had my old big block Chevy when put a elec fan on it and oil pan heater it warmed up about 10 mins faster and if i didn't turn the blower fan on it warmed up just a little bit more. now u might think 10 mins is crazy but i use to start her well try to start (she hated the cold) 10 mins before i leave and would drive 10 mins to work and she be just peaking 140 degrees.
then i did the elec fan and the oil pan heater she start right up in the cold and when i would leave she be at 150 before i got out of the drive way.
but the best was my gf got me a remote starter and i put the oil pan heater on a timer so it would turn on 2 hours before i would get up and turn off about the time i would start it

Why not just go outside 10-15min. before leave, start up the Tracker and let it idle until you leave? I do that with all of my vehicles during the winter months and my cabs all warm up just fine

My suggestion to your problem is used an oil pan heater. It is very useful to fix your problem.
