Title: high beam indicator light
Post by: pistolgrip on October 18, 2008, 07:26:38 PM
need some help. bought a 1994 samurai.. the gauge cluster was missing. purchased aftermarket gauges. everything is working except, the high beam indicator light. cant figure out how to wire it into the main wiring harness. checked all the wiring going to the headlights ( at the headlight ). all have voltage on them. can anyone help me or tell me how to wire the indicator light up to operate when the high beams are turned on? thanks

Short answer:  Use the red wire that connects to the old instrument gage module connector.  it is part of the high beam circuit.

A revised, easier to find/use version of the Fuel Injected Samurai master wiring diagram is now available at Ack's FAQ (link in my signature).  Do a search for diagram

BTW, it's also the red wire for the carbureted models, too!
