Title: 2wd to 4wd
Post by: Bfunk on October 21, 2008, 01:01:35 AM
Is everything the same on a 2wd vehicle???  minus the front drive stuff.  Would it be just as easy as putting a front diff with axles and a tcase in ???  Thyanks to all

Are you talking Samurai or Trackick?

Sami... front axle assembly, front driveline, 4wd transfer case, shifter, and boot.

Trackick...front diff assembly, CVs, hubs, bushings  and seals for CVs at the knuckle, front driveline, 4wd transmission, transfer case, rear driveline, shifter and boot, possibly the driver's side frame bracket for the front diff assembly(some came with them, others didn't). Make sure the front and rear gear ratios are the same.

Yeh yeh.  I know all the parts.  I'm just wondering if it will all just bolt in, or if I have to drill or weld at all.

This would be the only welding, is if it doesn't have this bracket.

I'm going to presume you have a Trackick?
