there are two screws that are visible from the outside but i believe those are for adusting the lamp. does anyone know how i actually change the whole headlight? it's not just a bulb thing. thank you

got to remove the grill. theres a screw in the middle of the grill and u kinda flex the grill out theres little pins on each side that helps hold it in.
then youll see what holds the head lights in

Headlights have a very uniform wearout characteristic. If one has failed, the other cannot be far behind. Given your your time & labor, it makes sense to replace both headlights at the same time, even if only one is out now.

thanks for all you help so far folks, it's much appreciated. I just got the headlights today so I'm going to give it a rip tomorrow.

also check out the connection. these awesome trucks are old so corrosion and dirt get in there threw out the years :-\ and can cause to have a poor connection and headlight not work well.
autozone has replacement connectors if they are real bad.
and some electric grease can help keep the moisture and dirt out too
