Title: Tailgate lock

My 89 Tracker tailgate does not have a lock on it. Were they all this way?. There's no way to lock the thing so I put a hasp on the inside and drop a bolt in it to lock it but it's very unhandy.. :-/

My 89' has a lock, same as the ignition key
and door, the ones without also don't have
a hole for the lock cylinder too, so you will
need to find a lock, and the key or have it
rekeyed to fit the key you have, then put
a hole in the door to install it

Thanks allot,,I saved the page for reference..Decide what to do, if anything about it...Maybe it was all about soft tops. Mine has an after market hard top on it..  ::)

Thanks,,Flames and Wild.  I really have this Tracker dolled up compared to the shape it was in when I got it..I'll have to find a way to post some pictures..I do quite a bit of stream fishing here in the Bighorns and it is a perfect rig for it. Now I worry about scratching it up...
