Title: replacement seat brackets (87-88 samurai)?
Post by: bobby7321 on November 06, 2008, 12:17:54 PM
Hello.
First time posting. Bought a couple of samurais a few weeks ago. an 87, already lifted, needed some work, but have it running pretty good now. now just need to replace seats completely. they were just sitting on the floor. the passenger side has nothing at all below the seat, bracket completely missing. the driver side has a few pieces that look like a bracket but is bent to hell, so figure i need to replace it all.
this one I'm leaving out at my ranch, and really don't want to put much money into it.

the other is an 88 and is still really good shape and completely stock. only 51,000 miles on it. gonna redo that one from the ground up as a hunting rig.

anyways...

looking for replacement seat brackets. both driver and passenger.
and also suggestions on cheap seats (vinyl or just plastic since it will probably be left out in the elements)

thanks, and great forum.

Hawk Suzuki is a great place to get stock replacements.

If you want cheap seats, you can look up Summit Racing.  They have the plastic dragster seats available, and you can get slide rails mounting kit with them.  Then just fab up your own mounts with some available C stock or angle.  That is what I did on my SJ and it works fine.

Check out Ack's FAQ at: http://acksfaq.com/

Search on "seats" for some good info.
