My Tracker has had seat covers since I bought it last year. Today it got caught out in the rain topless and the covers got soaked, so I removed them. The original seats are in okay condition except that the driver lower cushion has large craks in the vinyl. How can I fix this in a way that won't get icky in the future. I know I could put tape over it but I think that would get sticky and nasty in time.

New seat covers or re-upholster with cloth
instead of vinyl, my stock cloth seats are
still in really nice condition, just need cleaned
I used to sell a vinyl repair stuff in a tool
store, I don't remember what it was called,
but it was clear and dried really tough

How difficult is it to reinstall the upholstry?  From what I've read about putting leather upholstry in a car it sound like more than I want to attempt with all the hogrings and such.

Well I just recovered mine and it wasnt bad. If you dont want to deal with Hog rings the small zip tyes work as a real easy substitute. It took me about 45 min to a seat. Its not really hard at all. It just takes a little time.
