I searched but couldn't find any info on this. Do you know of a link?

i did this on my '89 kick. yours may be different, but look and see.
i took the lower dougnut off and replaced w/thinner material, and put more on top.
i used pieces i cut out of some old conveyor belt- looks like tire material.
i got 1 1/8" body lift.
gas fill hose still fit, had to lower front brake hose fitting(where it goes thru wheel well), and remount a brake line block on the passenger side.
i'll bet yours is similar.
oh yea- there were two other places on each side that had rubber mounts. i stacked the same amount of material on the frame at those locations before i let the body back down- no fasteners- and they are still there after 2 seasons.

thats what i did on my first gv as well, it got me a 1 3/4 inch lift, i just took the bottom rubber off and put it up top. no other mods needed.........other than the bumper brackets of course......
