I'm thinking about selling it or trading it for a 2door, it's 98 with only 80,ooo miles on it. rockers need attention. So what would you do?
I'm thinking 4 inch frame drop and 32x12.5. I think 33s might be too hard on the 4door, had no problems on the 2 door but the extra 300 pounds might push it. What is the biggest tire anyone crammed on a 4door with stock gears and ifs?
-
I have the 1.8L Sport 4dr. and 31's are all it wants. What do you mean by frame drop ???
-
if you had a clean 4door, what would you do?
I'd sell it and build a buggy. 8)

Never heard a good thing about 33's on a stock gear set haha..... I like 4 doors, a good set of springs, spacers, and a body lift and you should be able to clear 33's.... then make yourself a roof rack, possibly some bumpers, push bar, and go to town!

i have a 4dr sport with some of jeffs spacers and GV springs. i will be putting some 31's on soon. i have a basket rack as well.
i did have a 90 2dr kick with 33's and in tight techy stuff it was prety hard on the clutch but worked awsome. it had a welded rear.
but i now have a samurai on 32's that will get me by.

cut the front of the frame where it starts to curve up and relocate it 4 inches lower, make 4 inches longer motor mounts.

WOW! I'll do a lot of things to my Zuk, but cutting the frame would make me a little nervous. I use mine as a DD.

youd do that to a CLEAN 4door?
ouch

how did you do the front suspension? the 2 cases?
did you cut the wheel wells? actually, can you post a pi from the side of the rear wheel?
Thanks

Spitfire Rick, I'm in love!

It looks like he is using springs with Toyota axles. Looks nice. :)
you can tell he trimmed the fenders, even with the bottom of the headlights. The running light makes it 100% road legal right? :D

yeh, must be toy axes.
why would you bother swapping in sammi axles anyway.

If you have them laying around I see no reason not to. Especially if you drop a Sammy T-Case on it. Then you have the right off-set in the rear. :D

just don't see the need to swap ina weak link when ya can do it right the first time.
seems that most people that do a sas ona kick run 33+ tires. not the greatest on a sammi axle.
