Hey all,
Been a long time since I visited this, but I said I let you all know how the SX4 is doing for us.
Well, we've had it a little over a year and my wife has put most all of the 14,000 miles on it and she still loves the car like the day we got it. Gas mileage has been steadily improving (29.1 mpg running around rural Lancaster County PA) which as of late has been greatly appreciated. No problems to report and have not added anything to the car except for some knock-off custom molded splash guards from China (ebay). Oh yeah, the stock lug nuts were corroding at the drop of a hat, so dealer eventually replaced w/ the upgraded Suzuki SWT black chrome ones under warranty (very nice).
The only thing that's changed with the car over the past year is that it's not as quiet as it was new. I'm certain that it's the exhaust tone that has changed and become louder so that it's more noticeable in the cabin. But other than that, it's an awesome car for the money. I have driven it on the PA turnpike from Pittsburgh to Harrisburg in a pretty much torrential rain the whole way with the AWD in Auto mode and it was a pleasure. Very sure-footed with all that water on the road.
This car definitely represents what Suzuki used to be as an auto maker.

Thank you for the update and observations. It's good to hear owner reviews of new Suzuki autos.

60,000 mi now. Airbag system is faulted out due to the pass. seat sensor malfuntion and local suzuki dealership is not returning messages or emails i leave. Very unhappy with their services and Suzuki Corp. as well as i cannot call or email. them about the issue. Thoughts?

Replacement parts on our '07 are $$$ (have you priced out struts?!?!). Repairs are too frequent for a car that still has <100k miles. I still love the looks of the the car, flexibility of the interior, and the piece of mind of the AWD, but the high ownership cost is outweighing the reasonable purchase price, and we're ready to unload it.

...but the '99 Tracker's a keeper! ;D

Update: The SX4's been replaced by a Honda Fit.
