Title: Sammy hardtop
Post by: weeha66 on November 20, 2008, 07:47:29 AM
I need some opinions on a hardtop for my sammy. Would you go with a Bestop 2-peice hardtop or a 1 peice Rally hardtop?

I have a two piece on my tracker and I love it.  I can take the cab piece off and stow it in the rear.  Also its nice in the summer to take the rear off and just run the front in case it rains.  Also makes taking off the rear a one man show.  Don;t know if you can do all that with the sammy 2 piece but if you can its the way to go.

I put a 1-piece Rally Top on my 93.  Drove into L.A. and drove home with it installed. It's well-made.  Jerry & Ben at Rally Tops are top-notch guys and they put it on right there for me.  It's a lot quieter and offers better security for the dogs. I really like the (small) additional headroom. If you've got A/C or need heat, it will help as well.  Shipping costs a lot, so part of my choice was proximity. It's also the top that Petroworks recommended.

Does the 2-piece seal up good?

I have had both and prefer the one piece.
