Can't find it!!,,Maybe some one can help me out on this..
Some where I read it is possible to use 2" Jeep coil spacers on a 89 Sidekick-Tracker, Enlarging the bumper stop hole to?? inches?? . Also is the rear spacer the same verticle hieght as the rear??..Install longer shocks(91 Ford Victoria)..and I assume the strut spacers should be 2" also??Does the "strut mount flip" do the same thing as "strut spacers"?..Lot's of questions I know, but I rely on the experience side.. Saves allot of cussing.. :-/

Thanks,,I'm going to do it!!!

;D I did it!!!..I bored out the Jeep TJ 2" spacers, used 91 Crown Vic. Monroe shocks. The back was easy..
The front worked as advertised with the strut mount flip but the springs were a pain in the butt to get back on, even with spring compressors. Anyway the total was--$91.00 for the TJ spacers shipped,,$21.00 for the spring compressors, total $112.00 ;D
Versus: $199.00 for spring and strut spacers and $200.00 the locals wanted to install it=$399.00 ;D

how much for the shocks??? i would like to do the same thing and looking for a cost. and why do people need coil compressors for? i always just put a jack under the A-arm and remove the 2 bolts that hold the strut to the spindel(sp)

because it becomes not so easy to get the springs back in when you have lift springs or coil spacers on top... I have to fight with the Calmini 3" springs every time I put the front end back together. :-/

I bought the shocks from Rock Auto. They were $52.94
shipped..Seems to ride fine but I haven't had it on the mountain yet. Just finished the job Fri. evening. I take it in for the camber bolts and alignment tomorrow morning.. Putting in the 2" spacers and then trying to stuff the springs back in that little ole space is a bit trying, but it all is worth the effort..No challenge-no fun!!
I think I'll put either 9.5x30 or 235-75-15's on it. I'll know this week,,$$$$????

Cool, Another Trackick moves up in the world.
Just curious, I've heard several people mention it but how do the spring spacers work with the Calmini 3 inch? Is it all status Quo, or are there extra complications due to the lift?
Also the Crown Vic shocks? do they bolt on the same?

I think if you use spring spacers with the lift Your going to push you front end to far. Youd have to make longer strut spacers and by then youd be overextending the CV's.

Utah,,I don't know about the Calmini lift..The Crown Vic shocks do differ only in the size of the lower bolt hole.
It is a bit larger . I cut a piece of 1/"2" copper tubing the correct length and put that in as a spacer-bushing..
There was still a very small amount of slack but it bolts in nicely with the original shock bolt..
The trouble I had with the spacers was,,you can't get the spacers directly opposed from each other when still mounted.(i.e. 180 deg. from each other) so when you get the springs out, they have a bow on them that makes it nearly impossible to get back in..So you have to re-position one spacer to get the bow out, and still be in a place on the spring that doesn't interfere with some thing else when putting it back in..It all works out tho..This is probably a poor description but you'll see how it all works out once your in to it..Just close your eyes, count your prayer beads and jump in!!! :)
