Title: exhaust fumes
Post by: cstello on November 22, 2008, 04:02:25 PM
Does anyone have any good ideas to keep the exhaust from coming back in the cab when driving?

Where does your exhaust end at?  I had this problem when the exhaust was broken in front of the rear axle.  Once I routed it out the back end with a slight down pipe the problem went away.

Mine is routed out the back with a straight pipe

Try throwing a 90 degree bend on it to vent the pipe down at the ground instead of blowing straight out the back.

Also, make sure you don't have an exhaust leak under the cab.

You may have discovered why the stock tailpipe is shaped the way it is. Others with straight exhaust tips have made the same observation as well.

I have always heard the exhaust exits on the rear corner of suzukis, as well as on other suvs like 4runners, so the exhaust gasses don't get caught in the turbulence caused by the squared off rear end of the truck.
