I know that car. It belongs to a guy named Simon Touron, a good chap too, took the X90 through the mud run at the National 4x4 show with the roof off  ;D. Spent most of the weekend alternating between cleaning it and burying it in mud! Those pics must have been taken earlier in the year, he has some nice custom made bumpers on it now.

I think of the X-90 is to Suzuki what the Del Sol was to Honda...

I've got my eye out for one... I'd hate to get creamed by a semi in one of those though. What are the specs of an X90?

they're the same as sidekicks in everyway except for a different body. you could swap a sidekick body onto one. they also have the 16v motors.

Thats what I used to think,  They are very very close cousins, but not exactly the same.  I beileve that their is some different stuff under the hood, but the basics are the same.  Local Salvage yard didn't show interchange between the X and my kick, + I have spoken to others who have found differences (Sorry i don;t have more details )I'm still working on Finding an X-90.  I missed a screaming deal last month on a 96 X-90 with 120k auto 4wd cruz ac power windows for $1500...

i've only seen one, the owner of an offroad shop has a SAS one, its sooo sweet, ive never seen one with an ifs lift though, which this one appears to have..
i know its a suzuki board, but does anyone ever lift rav4s? i think they have irs and ifs, so it could be a lot of extra work

I've got a green X-90.  It was my wifes before we got married and now I use it to commute to work.  It gets killer mileage.  I would love to SAS it and wheel the crap out of it someday.  I have taken it in the sand, it was worth it just to see people stare and wonder what the hell a roller skate with a flag on it was doing at Sand Lake.  I just love to watch people stare and ask me if it is electric, and what it is.  Damn thing is fast though with the 16 valve.  I think it gives some people a complex when the pregnant roller skate blows there doors off at the stop light.

Right, an X-90 is the same as a Sidekick mechanically.  That is, anything Calmini sells for a Sidekick will work on an X-90.  Suzuki put both vehicles in one Shop Manual.  However, there are differences primarily in the electrical schematic where the shop manual shows different configurations for the locations of grounding points, the wiring for the Daytime Running Lamps, and things like that.

Other than that, the X-90 was fitted with smaller tires at the factory so the wheel wells and fenders or correspondingly smaller.  Lifting and bigger tires will require a little more sheet metal trimming on the X-90.

Of course, since the bodies are different, aftermarket Sidekick bumpers may not work on an X-90.  I haven't tried it.

Simons has the Calmini 6" combo lift from the Track/Kick fitted.

I'd love to have one.
The funny thing about it is my dad who , by the way didn't really like my Tracker, mentioned just the other day he saw a X-90 and actually liked it :o
And he's an all MOPAR guy.
Go figure, the power of Suzuki ;D

The X90 is more closely mechanically similar to a 4 door than a 2 door, the auto is a 4 speed, just the same as the 4 door. Mechanically speaking, it is all kick.

I'm 6'1" tall and actually fit in the damn little thing.  They have a lot of head room, since they are basically a bubble and leg room is good too.  It feels really small though with two people in it.

I'm wondering what audio quality there is in those (never sat in one yet...) Is it really sealed (like a porche?) or rough on audio gear ?

I would imagine you would have a difficult time setting up a decent sound stage for the x-90. Being such a small interior you would find your channels running together. But if you could cram some solo 10's in there i'm sure it would give you a good slap in the back of the head.  ;D

in something as small as the x-90 or even a track kick u dont need any rear speakers to have a good sound stage...i use no rear speakers even when i had a backseat and it sounds amazing..even to people that dont like me lol

When they first came out i thought they were cool as hell, but kinda girly looking.
Now that i've seen a few lifted or lowered i want one,in fact i have the money waiting and a guy is looking throughout the midwest at auto auctions for me.
For the most part dealers send them to auction because they are only 2 seaters and hard to move.
On ebay they get to much,to many people see them.
I want to see if a 4.3 or LS1 5.7 will fit in there,auto/overdrive,and a stronger rearend. ;D

More details please! I'm interested... or hook me up with a detailed web page or something! What's this about the Blazer? I have an old Blazer just sitting around... what can I do with it? Thanks!

Have you tried one out? They look small but have lots of room inside. A friend of mine that is 6-2 has dirven mine a few time and was shocked at the head room he had.

I have been inpressed with how quiet it is on the road compared to the Kick. I am doing a system in mine soon and will let you know how it turns out. The Stock Alpine system is not much to brag about. Its cool having the stock CD changer, but the head unit is an older tape deck with changer controls and the speakers suck.

I'm going to be installing:
-Eclipse Head unit
-Kenwood Excelon 6.5 seperates
-Subs (undecided): I have 2 eclipse 10's and a 12 and will use a combination of them depending on sound and room on the back wall.
-A combination of 2 to 4 amps depending on wich sub set up I go with.

I'm more the sound quality type but I'm sure it will be loud as hell also. I'll let you know how it turns out.
